Amazone Paiche (ARAPAIMA) from Peru

Presented by the ADRIEN Group teams during the last European Seafood Show in Brussels, Amazone Paiche (ARAPAIMA) is an ancestral and mythical specie of Amazonia, one of the largest river fish in the world. It can reach 3 meters and weighs 200 kg.

This very rare fish, considered as "the king of Amazonia" is now farm-raised in Peru, in the greatest respect of environment, in the middle of protected areas in Amazonia.

Its presentation on the European market uprised in the encounter of two companies sharing the same values: the ADRIEN Group, established in Peru since 1993 with its subsidiary ARCOPA, awarded by Bureau Veritas recognition "Responsible Fishing and Sustainable Development", and AMAZONE, a Peruvian company specialized in aquaculture, processing and marketing species of Amazonia through a responsible, sustainable farm production guaranteeing an homogeneous quality product and consumers safety.

Fortified by these common values, AMAZONE and the ADRIEN GROUP decided to associate their know-how to promote this fish of exception in Europe.
